Mehmetçik Grape Festival
The Mehmetçik Grape Festival is one of the most traditional village festivals on the Karpaz Peninsula. It focuses on the region's wine and grape heritage, local grape products, music, folklore, concerts, and a multi-day village program. Visit North Cyprus described the 63rd edition in 2025 as featuring regional grape products, folk dances, concerts, and cultural events. The festival is particularly appealing to families because it's not just a staged concert, but a vibrant village celebration with food, music, market stalls, and plenty of activity in the public spaces. Children can enjoy traditional dances, local dishes, grape sweets, and a strong sense of community. Since the exact dates change annually, the entry should be maintained as a recurring summer festival, and the specific date should be confirmed with the municipality of Mehmetçik/Büyükkonuk or Visit North Cyprus before publication.
