The Karpaz Peninsula It is the long, narrow strip of land in the northeast of the island and is considered its most unspoiled region. Anyone seeking nature, wide open spaces, and tranquility will find it here: miles of pristine beaches, rolling hills, and hardly any development characterize the landscape all the way to its tip.

Golden Beach & secluded coves.

Golden Beach (Altın Kum), at the tip of the peninsula, is one of the island's most beautiful beaches—fine sand, plenty of space, and wonderful seclusion. Further along the coast, you'll find other unspoiled coves away from the crowds.

Wild donkey and the Apostolos-Andreas Monastery.

The peninsula's iconic feature is its free-roaming donkeys, which you'll encounter along the way (please observe them from a distance and do not feed them). Near the tip lies the Monastery of Saint Andrew, a popular pilgrimage and excursion destination.
