Lefke Walnut Festival
The Lefke Walnut Festival is a regional celebration of walnuts, particularly Ceviz Macunu, a popular Cypriot walnut sweet. Festival listings indicate June as the typical timeframe and the Lefke Tourism Association as a participating organizer. The festival combines culinary products, market stalls, local specialties, and village culture. It's a great day trip for families to the western part of Northern Cyprus, as Lefke has a distinct landscape and culture compared to the coastal towns near Girne or İskele. Children can discover regional sweets and experience the strong connection between individual villages and specific products.
