In Nordzypern sind zwei Veranstaltungen geplant: Das Musikfestival ‚Zamna‘ am 10. Oktober sowie ein Fußball-Trainingscamp der Barselona Akademie. Beide Veranstaltungen stehen im Fokus politischer Diskussionen, da die politische Partei ELAM deren Absage fordert. Das Fußballcamp wird besonders kritisch gesehen, da es von einer Fußballakademie eines EU-Mitgliedstaates organisiert wird. Trotz der Kontroversen sind die Termine und Planungen für beide Events offiziell geplant.
