The Chandria Dough Festival showcases flavours and tradition
Das Festival Zimariou, auch bekannt als Dough Festival, findet am 25. und 26. Juli im Dorf Chandria statt. Das zweitägige Fest bietet traditionelle lokale Teigwaren, Pasta und Brotkreationen, Souvlakia und zypriotische Tänze. Veranstaltungsort ist der Innenhof der Kirche des Erzengels Michael. Am Samstag beginnt das Festival um 15 Uhr mit Vorführungen und Musik bis 23 Uhr. Am Sonntag ist das Festival von 11 bis 18 Uhr geöffnet. Kinder können eigene Teigkreationen herstellen. Folkloregruppen zeigen lokale Tänze, und Besucher können traditionelle Spezialitäten probieren.
