Müzeler Haftası 2024

The Museum Week in Northern Cyprus comprises a series of cultural events from May 18th to 24th, 2024. The events kick off with a Kortej run on May 18th at 9:30 AM at the Girne Gate in Lefkoşa. On the same day, a concert entitled "19 Mayıs Ruhu" (May 19th Remembrance) will take place at 8:00 PM at the Kıbrıs Türk Tarih, Kültür ve Milli Mücadele Müzesi (Kirne Turkish Heritage, Cultural and Cultural Museum Museum). Another concert on the same theme is planned for May 19th at 8:00 PM at the Bellapais Monastery in Girne. On May 20th, the Deniz Kapısı (Deniz Gate) will be inaugurated in Gazimağusa, along with an awards ceremony for a children's competition on the city's cultural heritage. On May 21st, a ceramics workshop for primary school children will take place in cooperation with Arkın Yaratıcı Sanatlar ve Tasarım Üniversitesi, followed by an event in the evening at Şömineli Ev in Gazimağusa. The series concludes on May 24th at 5:00 PM with a concert by the group Melatonin at Girne Kalesi. The events, themed "Müzeler Bölünmüş Dünyayı Birleştiriyor" (Craftsmen are coming together in the world), are open to all ages.
