Famagusta is getting its first major film festival: The International Mağusa Film Festival "Golden Pomegranate" will bring together Cypriot, Turkish, and international cinema from October 9th to 11th, 2026. The program includes competitions, special screenings, discussions with directors and actors, and a festive awards ceremony. All screenings are free of charge – a premiere that combines Famagusta's historic setting with great cinema.
