In the İnönü commune, a memorial service was held on July 11 at 7:00 PM for the 11 martyrs killed during the national struggle and on July 12, 1958. The event began with a wreath-laying ceremony at the İnönü Martyrs' Memorial, followed by a minute of silence, a gun salute, and the raising of flags to the national anthem. Poems were recited and speeches were given, including one by the mayor of Mesarya, Ahmet Latif, who emphasized the importance of sacrifice for freedom. The ceremony was a tribute to those who gave their lives in service to the nation.
