A memorial service was held in Haspolat for those who fell during the second phase of the peace operation. Fifteen fallen soldiers were honored in a ceremony in front of the Haspolat Memorial. Among those attending were the Muhtar of Haspolat, Talip Özdemir, and the chairman of the TMT Mücahitler Derneği, Celal Bayar. The event began with a minute of silence and the singing of the national anthem, followed by a speech. The ceremony concluded with a prayer for the fallen.
