GÜÇ-SEN, Gazimağusa Limanı'nda iki saatlik uyarı grevi yaptı

The GÜÇ-SEN union held a two-hour warning strike at the Gazimağusa Port (Famagusta) to draw attention to staff shortages and inadequate working conditions. The action took place in front of the Gazimağusa Customs Department building and was commented on by the union leadership. Problems at the port include insufficient staffing, infrastructural deficiencies, health hazards from chemical particles used in ship painting, inadequate lighting, and poor traffic management. The union is demanding that staffing levels be brought up to the legally permitted level and that the port, which is of central importance to the region's foreign trade, be modernized, made safe, and properly managed.
