Gazilik Beratı and Gazi Kartı Takdim Töreni

The event took place in the library of Yakın Doğu University, where, in keeping with the occasion, 100 people were presented with Gazilik certificates and Gazi cards. Among those present were Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Finance Minister Özdemir Berova, and other high-ranking officials, as well as veterans and their families. The ceremony began with a minute of silence and the playing of the national anthem, followed by a video presentation highlighting the veterans' contributions to the Turkish Cypriot struggle for freedom. In their speeches, the politicians emphasized the importance of honoring the veterans for the existence and unity of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). The cards presented serve as an expression of the state's gratitude to the veterans and also guarantee their families important rights in areas such as health, education, transportation, and social services.
