Festival Zimariou – Dough Festival in Chandria
Das Festival Zimariou, auch bekannt als Dough Festival, findet am 25. und 26. Juli im Dorf Chandria in Nordzypern statt. Das zweitägige Festival präsentiert traditionelle lokale Teigkreationen wie zyprische Ravioli, Pasteten, Dorf-Brote, Loukoumades und Daktyla. Es findet im Innenhof der Kirche des Erzengels Michael statt. Am Samstag beginnt das Programm um 15 Uhr, mit Folklore-Tänzen, Live-Musik und gegrilltem Souvlakia. Am Sonntag geht das Festival von 11 bis 18 Uhr weiter, mit ähnlichen Angeboten. Kinder können an beiden Tagen ihre eigenen Teigkreationen herstellen und so die Kultur aktiv erleben.
