Opening of the HMAS TEAL Denizcilik Müzesi in Girne

The HMAS TEAL Maritime History and Art Museum has opened at Girne Tourism Center. The HMAS TEAL, a ship based in Cyprus since 1994 and previously used for practical training at the maritime faculties of two universities, has been converted into a museum. The museum showcases historical maps, archival documents, navigational instruments, original maritime artifacts, and contemporary artworks with a maritime theme. The ship's bridge, living quarters, engine room, and deck have been thematically designed as exhibition spaces. The opening took place on August 1st. The museum is a significant cultural asset for Girne and is highly recommended for school visits.
