Cyprien Katsaris meets the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra
On June 30th, a spectacular concert featuring the legendary pianist Cyprien Katsaris and the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Myron Michailidis, will take place at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre. The concert marks the closing event of Cyprus's cultural program during its EU Council Presidency. Cyprien Katsaris will perform works by Franz Liszt, including the Fantasy on Themes from Beethoven's The Ruins of Athens and the Hungarian Fantasy. The second half of the concert will feature famous dances by composers such as Johann Strauss II, Georges Bizet, Johannes Brahms, and Antonín Dvořák. The concert begins at 8:30 pm and is the orchestra's final concert of the summer.
