29th Uluslararası Halk Dansları Festivali in İskele

The 29th International Folk Dance Festival of the İskele Municipality took place as part of the 54th Traditional İskele Festival. Dance groups from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Turkey, Uruguay, Russia, North Ossetia, and Kyrgyzstan performed. The events, organized by Özlem Kadirağa, were held at the Açık Hava Kültür Merkezi (Open-Air Cultural Center) in İskele. There were opening performances, a traditional costume parade, and the selection of the festival's dance couple. The traditional competition to catch the flag at the oiled pole was also held, which was won by Aytan Tosun.
