2026 URBACT City Festival in Nicosia
The URBACT City Festival will take place in Nicosia on September 29 and 30, 2026. Organized by the EU-funded URBACT program and the Nicosia City Council, the festival will bring together representatives from over 300 cities, urban planners, researchers, policymakers, and citizens from across Europe in Eleftheria Square to discuss urban challenges, showcase innovative approaches, and build networks. On the morning of September 29, a marketplace will be open from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, featuring initiatives related to climate action, participatory governance, the local economy, social cohesion, and urban planning. This will be followed by thematic sessions on nature-based solutions, the local economy, and sustainable urban development.
