20 Temmuz Barış ve Özgürlük Bayramı töreni Yavuz Çıkarma Plajı'nda

On July 20th, a commemoration ceremony was held at Yavuz Çıkarma Beach to mark the 52nd anniversary of Barış ve Özgürlük Bayramı (Peace and Freedom Day). The ceremony commemorated the first landing of Turkish forces in Northern Cyprus in 1974. High-ranking representatives from politics, the military, the police, communities, and organizations participated. The proceedings included the laying of wreaths, the raising of flags, a 21-gun salute, a ceremonial announcement, and the lighting of the Freedom Torch, which was then transported to Lefkoşa for further ceremonies.
