Zum Anlass des 1. Juni, dem Weltkindertag, fand in Cihangir im Akıncılar Gebiet das 12. Weltkinderschulfest statt. Die Veranstaltung begann mit einem Umzug und bot zahlreiche Bühnenauftritte und verschiedene Aktivitäten für Kinder. Der Präsident Tufan Erhürman nahm ebenfalls an dem Fest im Cihangir Stadion teil und traf sich mit den Kindern.
