11. Uluslararası Akdeniz Pişmiş Toprak Sempozyumu

The 11th Uluslararası Akdeniz Pişmiş Toprak Sempozyumu (Cultural Art Symposium) is held under the patronage of the Lapta Alsancak Çamlıbel Municipality and in cooperation with the Alashia Terracotta Sanat Topluluğu (Alashia Terracotta Art Society). The symposium curator is Ayhatun Ateşin, and the project manager is Vedia Okutan Gaydeler. The event aims to protect cultural heritage, support art production in public spaces, and foster direct engagement with art between the public and the community. Artists from Turkey, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and other countries are participating. The venues are Lapta Town Square and the area surrounding Ayios Loukas Church. The program includes hands-on workshops, artist talks, public production processes, and educational activities designed to provide direct access to art, particularly for children, teenagers, and students. A highlight is the on-site sculpture kiln firing, which will take place tomorrow evening at 8:30 pm in the courtyard of the Ayios Loukas Church in the Lapta Tourism Festival market square.
