1 Ağustos Toplumsal Direniş Bayramı – Resepsiyon at the Güvenlik Kuvvetleri Komutanlığı

To commemorate the 455th anniversary of the conquest of Cyprus, the 68th anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Resistance Organization (TMT), and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Security Forces (GKK), an official reception was held in the garden of the GKK headquarters. High-ranking officials, including the President, the Speaker of Parliament, the Prime Minister, former Presidents, the Turkish Ambassador to Nicosia, military leaders, and other invited guests, were in attendance. The event included a commemorative address, a video presentation, a performance of a song composed specifically for the 50th anniversary, and a musical performance by the military band. The significance of August 1st was emphasized as a historical turning point, when conquest, resistance, and heroism coalesced into a unified spirit.
