Solidarity
Soloi (Soli) ist eine archäologische Stätte an der Nordwestküste Zyperns, etwa einen Kilometer von Gemikonağı entfernt, in der Region Güzelyurt (Morphou).
Die antike Polis war ein eisenzeitliches Stadtkönigtum. Sie lag an einem Fluss, dem heutigen Kambos, und besaß einen auch im Winter nutzbaren Hafen. Soli lieferte Holz und Kupfer nach Athen. Eine Überlieferung schreibt Anlage und Namen dem Athener Solon zu. Das Prisma des Asarhaddon aus dem 7. Jahrhundert v. Chr., älter als Solon, nennt Soli jedoch bereits als eines der zehn Stadtkönigreiche Zyperns. Zur Stätte gehören Mosaiken.
