Othello Castle
The Othello Citadel (Othello Castle), also known as Othello Tower, is a castle in Famagusta (Gazimağusa) on the east coast of Cyprus. It is located near the Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque and overlooks the old harbor.
The Lusignans built the castle in the 14th century; later, the Venetians remodeled it. It owes its current name to a stage direction in Shakespeare's play "Othello".
